"Great answers come from the silence of the heart!"

Serenity Garden Villa & Retreat was created in 2003 by the Polish-Swiss dual citizen Krystyna Ming-Ostrowska according to her concept and built up over many years. She created Serenity Garden as a “place of heart culture” by herself from a field and transformed it into a true garden and a living paradise within a few years.

In her Polish paradise she welcomed many international friends and guests who shared her philosophy and ideas. Unfortunately, she died much too early and unexpectedly as a result of the corona virus and left an extraordinary legacy to her children Ewa & Witold.

Her daughter Ewa continues to run the Serenity Garden as a retreat place in her spirit and invests in the beautiful retreat of joy, love and beauty for more composure in life for years to come (Serenity).

More about Krystyna Ming-Ostrowska (1940 - 2020)
Founder of Serenity Garden Villa & Retreat

Krystyna Ming-Ostrowska was born in Warsaw on March 11, 1940 and died on December 26, 2020 in Polanica-Zdrój (Lower Silesia).

After the war she spent her childhood and youth in Sopot near Danzig on the Baltic Sea. She then studied Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw. However she cancelled her studies due to a trip in 1965 and then had the fateful encounter with her future husband Hans Peter Ming and settled permanently in Switzerland. She married in 1966 and their daughter Ewa was born a year after her marriage and their son Witold in 1969 in Zurich. This is where she began studying Eastern psychology and literature at the University of Zurich and at the C.G.Jung Institute in Küsnacht near Zurich, where she was living at the time.

Throughout her life she deepened her knowledge of psychology, philosophy, religions and pedagogy as well as the universal teachings of spirituality.

She also acquired knowledge of human health and alternative treatments with a focus on mental health and specific attention to mental and emotional causes of diseases. Krystyna has helped many people in conversations and shared her knowledge. In 2003, Krystyna Ming returned to Poland and found happiness in Stary Wielislaw. The garden she created in Stary Wielisław, where she lived, she called the “Garden of Heart Culture” or my “Serenity Garden”. This magical space, full of symbolism, is characterised by precision in the realisation of her vision, a place she created for herself and the world.

For herself – because she lived and worked there. For the world – because she wanted a place where diverse groups of people could meet and enjoy themselves. Ewa Ming continues to run the house following her spirit as Serenity Garden Villa & Retreat.

Since 2004 she lived in her poetic work is the result of a meditative perception of phenomena and life problems, searching for their causes and possible solutions. The poems show an enormous sensitivity to nature and all manifestations of life. In her poems she shows the beauty of nature – the Alps, the mountains where she lived before returning to Poland in 2004.

Krystyna was convinced about the healing effects of beauty, colors and sounds on well-being and on human well-being.

Her thoughts and activities were focused on achieving a bright and wonderful future. It was also her wish, above all to help mothers and women to be able to realize their vocation and to live more consciously. Women are the guardians of healing values in society with the values of beauty, love and joy.

In 2016 she became one of the founders of the literary club “HELIKON” in Polanica-Zdrój. She loved poetry and wisdom.

She herself was a poet and wrote many poems and texts, which she unfortunately never published. Her daughter Ewa has made up for this, together with Diana Krechowska and with the Mamiko publishing house from Nowa Ruda.
